Sheet metal firm buys new machinery

Production facilities at Halifax's MetalCo have received a boost with the sheet metal manufacturer investing £300,000 in new machinery.
The new computerised metal punching machine and robotic welding cell will help slash lead times for clients and increase the flexibility and quality of the product.
Andy Robertshaw, production director, said: "This investment has been key for us. By bringing in-house this advanced technology we have immediately added value across the vast majority of client briefs. The new equipment is used across all specs of jobs from complete retail display production to its incorporation within small component manufacture.
"We have had a tremendous amount of positive feedback from both current and new clients as production lead times are cut drastically, making our proposition attractive to firms operating to a tight schedule or indeed to those who had in the past looked to overseas production."
A team of engineers advise the Holmfield Industrial Estate-based company on all areas of sheet metal and fabricated components.
