Sheffield-based Argonaut Logistics has acquired the assets of Argonaut Freight Forwarding and Freight Care International out of administration for £28,000 and £4,500 respectively.
The Yorkshire and Humber company handles services such as transport, warehousing, storage and loading for local, national and international customers.
The sale and purchase agreement was handled by Sheffield law firm Ashton Morton Slack. Said spokeswoman Kate Novakovic: "It was vital that we moved quickly to secure a deal in order to safeguard jobs that might otherwise have been lost.
"In the process of protecting those jobs we have also managed to save a business, one that in the past has contributed much to the British as well as the local economy.
"We wish everyone at Argonaut Logistics all the very best as the company looks to consolidate and build for the future."
